ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr. Dwalah L. Fisher is a breast cancer survivor, wife and mom.  At the age of 17, she walked onto the campus of Texas Southern University, her home away from home, as a freshman volleyball athlete and never left.  There she earned three degrees and continued to pursue her passions for sports and education in various roles including Head Volleyball Coach, Head Basketball Coach, Athletics Academic Advisor, Professor, Associate Provost, Assistant Athletic Director and today, Senior Woman Administrator and department chair.
